Observation on Teachers
I was assigned in primary level grades 1,2 and 3, my observation is based on the primary level teachers of grades 1,2 and 3.
Planning for Teaching
In my observation, the planning for teaching of the teachers in SD Pelita Nusantara is that they carefully think about how the outline of the lesson has to be carried out and the timing of the activities along with the lesson plan that they prepared. For example and in my observation, when Mr. Deki of grade 2A carried out the lesson in weather in his class, he makes sure that the pupils had carefully understood the lesson before letting them answer their worksheet activity. It is part of the planning for teaching the concept of spiral progression. Since the planning for teaching involves spiral progression, the teachers do not jump to another topic without the students having mastered the the competencies in the topic in general or in majority because it would create a barrier in understanding as they go to the topic that is more complex.
Preparing Lessons and Materials

In preparing lessons and materials, I observed that the teachers in SD Pelita Nusantara, first gather the teaching materials that most likely help them to enrich the lesson. Thus, the teachers look for a good textbook or from the internet. For example, Mister Ferro of grade 3-B uses the old issued teaching journal for teaching international math subject since he do not have yet the new edition one. It gives me a reflection that a teacher must have the sense of initiative of looking for something that you yourself would benefit and the learners as well. Also, when I do observation in the class of Mr.Ben, I observed that there are works of his pupils decorated on his room and it made me think and realized that the creativity of his pupils and himself as a teacher help accompany a lesson. Above all, is the lesson plan, the lesson plan is checked by the principal of the school and it is expected to be submitted every monday of the week. For me, lesson plan is an essential thing for teachers, without it, you could not carry out well the lesson in the classroom.
Measurement and Evaluation

In measurement and evaluation, I observed that the teachers genuinely record the scores of the pupils by having a hard copy personally and also by putting the scores along with their names on the left or right side of their whiteboard just like what you can notice from the two pictures below. I reflected that it is a strategy in order for the pupils to monitor their own progress.

Also the teachers reminded the pupils' parents about the activities of their child in the school. For example, in my observation,my cooperating teacher Mr. Ferro called for a meeting for parents in connection to the discussion that they will have about the upcoming test of the pupils. With this, the teacher let the pupils copy the reminder on their notebook. I reflected that it is also important for the parents to get involved on the performance of their child because they can also contribute in helping the child in coping up through their guidance when the child is in their home.

Teaching in Class of Primary Level Teachers in SD Pelita Nusantara
Miss Intan, the adviser of the class 3A, practices a teaching strategy that links the teaching content to the experiences of the learners. Based from the observation I did in her class, the class became interactive because the questions are contextually link to the pupils’ real life experiences. She also establishes a good classroom management by not encouraging the pupils to talk if there is someone that is still talking.
Mister Ferro, the adviser of 3B is conscious with the time. He makes sure that the intended time for instruction is well consumed.
Mister Deki, the adviser of 2A ensures a class that is manageable and interactive. He catches the attention of his pupils through his drawings on the board and through throwing the pupils questions that linger their creative thinking. He has one student who is active and keeps on asking questions and he makes sure that all of these queries are catered and answered.
Miss Sallie, the adviser of 2B portrays a picture of a loving and a caring teacher. She address quickly on situations that involves her students because while I was observing her class, one of her students is not feeling well so she immediately call the parents and sent the pupil home.
Miss Nara, the adviser of 1A knows her pupils very well. She usually does a one on one intervention to her grade 1 students. With this, she was able to nurture their potentialities and strengthen the fields that the pupils need to improve.
Mister Ben, the adviser of 1B class uses a question and answer basis in dealing to his learners. He throws them question that is not discouraging and give positive praises which allows the pupils to feel that they are not being left behind in the teaching and learning process.
My Overall Impression to the teachers
They are a mirror of a passionate and determined teachers. They help every learner to bring out the best in them through their unending support and efforts. In my one month stay to their school, they taught me in many aspects such as a teacher has to be sensitive with regards to students, teachers has to be consistent with the standards set to the learners, a teacher has to be open with any suggestions for improvement.
