Angklung Udjo

The Excursion is part of the SEA Teacher Program. The aim of this is to expose ourselves from the culture of Indonesia. We went to Udjo, I was able to witness how their traditional dances are performed and how they play their traditional angklung instrument.The angklung is a musical instrument from Indonesia made of a varying number of bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved to have a resonant pitch when struck and are tuned to octaves, similar to Western handbells.

We are also given the chance to play the instrument. The tune that it provides leaves a sweet melody to all who visited the place.
